A Letter From The Mayor

Dear Residents,

I would like to take the opportunity to welcome you to the Village of Franklin Park website. As I am certain you have noticed, the Village website has not changed much in the past few years, while other Villages and Cities have worked to build a strong presence on the web, Franklin Park has not made the same effort. This has resulted in the Village falling behind on providing the most up-to-date information and convenient online services to you.

In the coming months my administration and I will be working tirelessly towards rebuilding our website from the ground-up, to provide you not only the most current information, but also to include such services as online bill paying for water bills, vehicle stickers, and other essential services.

Providing a new website to our residents is a crucial step, a new site will allow us to provide a more transparent government with information about our different departments, ordinances, and meetings readily available online 24/7. This will serve to be one more essential step in building a government that truly works for the people it serves.

While this project is underway I would like to encourage you to continue to use our current website to download our latest newsletter and checkout some of the latest news and information at the bottom of this page.

New Village Hall Hours
In an effort to make the village more accessible to the residents, the Village is now open on Wednesday until 7:30 PM. New business hours are:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday
8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Wednesdays
8:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Saturday
9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

July 24th Street Dance – All Ages
Join your friends and neighbors for Franklin Park’s biggest summer event! Our annual Street Dance is the only place you can be to hear great music from Déjà Vu and Chicago Groove Collective. Also, don’t forget to check out all the cars that will be on display everything from classics to muscle and custom cruisers.

Friday July 24th, 5:00-11:00 p.m., Downtown Franklin Park, and as always admission is Free!

A Helpful Message From ComEd
Village residents, if you have a street light that is out in your neighborhood or looks to be in need of repair you can report the issue to ComEd by simply visiting their website here. From there, ComEd will take note of the problem and work to repair the light in a timely manner.

Also, now that the summer months are upon us there is the potential for severe weather to hit our area and with it knock out power to our homes. If you experience a power outage you can report it to ComEd by dialing their number 1-800-EDISON-1 (1-800-334-7661). The number directs you to their automated answering service where they are able to collect the information and address those areas experiencing outages.
